ARCONA 50, the video
It is the first model from the Swedish shipyard signed Jeppesen-Pons(formerly X-Yachts): a pure cruiser racer with the highest quality construction
Curiosity was high, what would the new boat of X-Yachts founder and designer Niels Jeppesen look like? From the numbers and from what we saw when we visited it at Boot Düsseldorf, it is clear that it is a true racing cruiser, with good sail area and low displacement. The level of construction is very high, infusion, vacuum, with epoxy resins
A very elegant boat with taut lines (negative foredeck in the higher sections and an edge in the hull that is long but not very pronounced), a clear deck and a very low deckhouse. Three possible choices for the keel, 2.95, 2.50 and 2.20 meters draft.
The interior? Don’t expect dark, typically Nordic setups; instead, white and light rule. Three cabins, two bathrooms, large central dinette with a real chart table. There is a choice of linear or “C-shaped” floor plan kitchen.
Now the curiosity, strong, is to be able to try it in the water. Rendezvous in the spring.
