The Shipyard & Marina Sant’Andrea is a very important nautical hub for the North Adriatic, located within the Marano Lagoon. This area rich in landscapes and natural beauty-including the Stella River Mouth Reserve and the Canal Novo Valley Reserve-is enclosed between two major seaside resorts: Grado to the east and Lignano Sabbiadoro to the west.

A safe place to keep your boat

The particular shape of the Marano Lagoon is a great advantage for those who choose to keep a boat here, because the Marina Sant’Andrea is always very sheltered from unfavorable weather events that can affect marine weather conditions. Here, by the way, you can choose to keep your boat at sea or ashore, in one of more than 700 total berths for boats with a maximum length of 35 meters and no draft problems, as the seabed is 4 meters deep and the navigable channel as much as 7 meters.

The facility is easily accessible by car, thanks to the proximity of theTrieste-Venice highway, and by airplane by landing atTrieste Airport. Among other things, the 1-hour direct flight connecting Trieste Airport with Milan Linate was recently restored (and provides two daily frequencies during the week and one frequency on Saturdays).

In addition to providing an excellent and safe winter storage solution, and a convenient base to keep the boat and experience it in the summer, St. Andrew’s Shipyard & Marina is able to offer several services to boaters. In the area of over 200,000 square meters of the site we find more than 130,000 square meters (thanks to the new yard) used for uncovered storage for boats up to 35 meters, 15,000 square meters of sheds with a height of 10 m for the covered storage of boats up to 30 meters, 1,000 square meters of heated paint booths (44 x 20 meters), 800 square meters of carpentry and 1,500 square meters of workshops and laboratories.

With these facilities, and thanks to the experienced workers, the Shipyard is able to meet all the needs of boat owners, from small repairs or processing to complex refitting operations. Boat handling is possible thanks to the presence of three travel lifts – of 80, 115 and 220 tons – three boat trolleys – of 40, 60 and 115 tons – and a self-propelled crane with 50 tons capacity. To give you some numbers, in 2023, the Shipyard completed more than 700 operations involving the use of a crane (hauling, launching, potting, and various types of displacement) and more than 120 including mast decommissioning and re-masting operations. Shipyard & Marina Sant’Andrea’s activities are known and recognized throughout the Mediterranean, so much so that over the years the Marina has become an Official Service Center for some of the most important international shipbuilding brands, such as Nautor Swan, Solaris Yachts, CNB Yacht s and San Lorenzo Yachts.
