Bimini, sprayhood, awnings. From NVequipment you find everything you need against wind, cold and sun. Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, a hundred kilometers from La Rochelle toward Nantes, is home to the historic company that has been designing and making cockpit protectors for all types of vessels for forty-five years. NVequipment combines quality craftsmanship with an industrial approach to distribute more than 15,000 products worldwide each year through an extensive sales network. But what products are we talking about?
NV Equipment – Tailored protection
NV Equipment’s production all revolves around products for protection-primarily of cockpit and flybridge-from sun, water and wind. If you see a boat in the Mediterranean that has a bimini, cockpit curtains or a sprayhood for the deckhouse, it is highly likely that they are NVequipment products. Browsing through the catalog you can find everything from tarps and biminis, awnings for the sun, complete closures to protect the cockpit from cold and splashes, sprayhood for the deckhouse, sunscreen soluzons, and more.
The growth of the company, which works with more than forty shipyards, including all major European and charter operators, is supported by the use of advanced design technologies, such as virtual reality. All development and production processes are therefore optimized for small- and medium-series production, but still allow NVequipment to also develop tailor-made ad hoc solutions according to customer needs.
There are two markets in which the company operates. On the one hand, it dialogues directly with manufacturers to design equipment for new boats, and on the other hand it works in the aftermarket-and rental market with used boats, through specialized distributors.
Search for bimini with one click
How do you find out if your boat can fit an NV Equipment accessory ? Just use the very simple tool (also in Italian) that the company provides on its website. Search for your boat in the list by selecting the boatyard, model, and year; you will get a page with all the accessories that can be installed on that boat. Choose the product you are interested in (bimini to protect from the wind, sun shade, tambour cover, full closure against the cold..) and view the data sheet with all available colors. With one click you will find all available dealers for your area and can contact them directly with your inquiries. Within the Access section you will also find a whole range of useful accessories and equipment on board, such as cushions, protective covers for seats, wheelhouse and winch, and bags and pouches for keeping ropes in order and storing the anchor.
