Usually at the end of the year, a line is drawn and sums are drawn. It has been an exciting year for us at the Sailing Newspaper, how many things have happened, how many stories we have told following the passion for sailing that we share with you, dear readers.
The year 2024 promises to be just as rich. Suffice it to say that it will be the year of the America’s Cup, the event that unites everyone who loves sailing.
But even more exciting for us will be 2025, when The Journal of Sailing will turn 50 years old. This is a very important milestone for me, who have been here since 1975, when my father Mario founded the GdV because he realized, his words, “that sailing was a therapeutic escape … not a way to escape or escape, but to verify, to reflect, to decide, to feel free men.” We will not celebrate this anniversary alone; we will share it with all of you.
A word of advice, follow us into the new year, you will not regret it.
