Among all the work that needs to be done on the boat, this is also the right season to focus on renewing the sails. In addition to the advantage of having the boat stationary (for most owners), it is common for sailmakers to make offers and discounts during this period. But which ones to choose and how to decide how many to change? We try to help you with examples from Elvstrøm Sails and Veleria Zaoli found in the Boat Gear Pavilion of our Boat Show.

Elvstrøm Sails – From Denmark to the World

Master Sails by Elvstrøm Sails

The historic Danish sailmaker, founded in 1954 by Paul Elvstrøm, the only sailor to win four gold medals in four consecutive Olympics, makes all kinds of sails, cruising, racing and Epex technology, and guides in choosing the right sails for all boats. It also offers sail mainten- ance and repair service, along with an inspection and refitting service that lets you know their state of wear and tear and know in advance if they require refitting. Thus, after more than 60 years in the business, today Elvstrøm has unique know-how. In fact, innovation has always been a driving force for the historic Danish sailmaker, and its great reputation in boating has been built on its ability to innovate that comes from founder Paul Elvstrøm himself.
