Quick Group
announced during its participation in Mets 2023 one last acquisition, that of Nemo Industrie. This is Quick’s third acquisition during 2023 after those of Xenta and Sanguineti Chiavari, and in fact launches the Piangipane (RA)-based company ever more into a leadership position in the world of nautical accessories.

From investment fund to acquisitions

Italian Quick in recent years has been concentrating more and more major companies in its orbit with heterogeneous acquisitions. Important input came in 2022 with the entry of Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR and Armònia SGR , which acquired a majority stake in Quick Spa. From day one of the “new course,” the company has focused on acquiring new brands and new companies, becoming an increasingly comprehensive reference for sailboat and powerboat owners.

Quick Group ‘s new acquisitions further expand its offerings, fill uncovered market areas, and even allow for total integration of sales and distribution networks in some cases. Here are details of which companies Quick acquired in 2023 and what they do.

  • Nemo Industries

We start with the latest entry, that of
Nemo Industries
. The company has been manufacturing various accessories and equipment to be installed in boats in the province of Forlì-Cesena since 1969. From skylights to gangways, via vangs, furlers, bollards, blocks and more. The company works with suppliers of high-quality materials (such as stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon) that have been chosen and refined over more than 50 years of experience in the world of sail and power boats.

  • Xenta

About a month ago there was the announcement of Quick’s second acquisition, that of Italy’s XENTA. Founded in 2004, the company quickly became a benchmark in control software used aboard vessels. We are talking about electronic propulsion and electronic steering control systems and maneuvering or position/stability control systems, installed mainly aboard motor boats.

  • Sanguineti Chiavari

The first acquisition of 2023 Quick, announced in the spring, was that of
Sanguineti Chiavari
. The Ligurian company for more than 65 years has been known for its accessories that we find aboard so many beautiful boats around the World. They range from gangways, ladders, and mechanical movers (especially installed on motor boats) to deck accessories such as tuna boats, anchor windlasses, and chains.

New acquisition in 2024 – The group is not standing still

The path is set, Quick Group is establishing itself as a true super-power in the nautical accessories market. Going after vertical and know-how-capable companies, and acquiring them through growing industrial and financial strength, will make Quick an increasingly comprehensive group with an even more central role in global boating. In fact, the group is planning a new acquisition, which will be announced by spring 2024.

There have also been major changes at the management level, with the entrances of Tommi Salonen, now commercial director of Quick Group, Marco Rodi, former Technogym and current COO of Quick Group, and Marco Santoro, managing director Quick USA, who comes from the Ferretti Group.

Quick’s “nerve center,” CATT, a hub that supplies most aluminum, bronze, and stainless steel components, as well as all molds for plastic parts, also grew this year. Under the leadership of Carlo Mazzucco, seven new state-of-the-art CNC machining centers have arrived.
