Among the most sought-after and in-demand sailboats on the market are definitely those that belong to the “cruiser” category. They are boats designed to be comfortable for cruising, so with all the amenities for going on vacation, but they are often models with some special feature that makes them suitable for those looking for something more as well. In fact, several shipyards, in addition to thinking about family and charter and summer vacation boats, are pushing the envelope a bit further with significant sail areas and increasingly equipped deck plans.
Let’s take a look together at five of these models, among the most popular on the market: the Oceanis 37.1, the Hanse 410, the Dufour 41, the Advanced A44 and the Bali Cat Smart.

Five “midsize” boats from 12 to 14 m for comfortable cruising. Oceanis 37.1 – Beneteau

The new Oceanis 37.1 has a large deckhouse that allows it to create XXL volume inside. The cockpit shrinks a bit, with the wheelhouses moving aft, where the backstay disappears instead. All to make this 11 meter a true champion for interior space, ideal for those who want to take long vacations aboard.

Hanse 410

The boat that replaces the Hanse 418 is characterized by ease of handling and good sailing performance. Roughly 12.50 meters long, the new Hanse 410 differs, and not just a little, from its predecessor (designed instead by Judel Vrolijk Studio). In fact, the boat has a deckhouse that is XXL in size, in length, width and height, and takes something away in terms of space from the size of the cockpit as well.

TheAdvanced A44 is conceived as a high quality sports boat in terms of design, construction materials and equipment. Designed according to the latest trends, it is extremely light and high-performance, with very powerful water lines that ensure exciting glides while providing ample space on board. Below deck, the space is organized into a cozy open space that provides all the functions useful for day sailing as well as cruising: two double cabins, bathroom, galley, and a saloon with a fold-down wing table flanked by two seats.
