With more than 19,000 attendees, 221 boats on display, many sea trials and the satisfaction of the public and exhibitors, the 7th Salerno Boat Show at the Marina di Arechi closed successfully.
Thousands of attendees from both central Italy and abroad, many boats on display and in some cases purchased thanks to sea trials, the widespread perception of an event with increasingly substantial potential. The 7th Salerno Boat Show 2023, which was staged Nov. 1-12 at Marina d’Arechi, closed successfully. The new extended hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the same extension of the fair that was initially scheduled only until the 5th of the month certainly contributed to this success.
Of particular relevance is the figure for visitors. Despite less than favorable weather conditions, more than 19,000 attendees were registered this year, coming from Campania, Puglia, Lazio, Basilicata and Calabria. Also involved were foreign yachtsmen who came to Salerno from Germany, Malta, Spain and the Netherlands, reflecting the international echo that Marina d’Arechi has gained in recent years with its participation in major industry fairs.
A boat show that pleases the public and exhibitors
Record numbers were also set on the front of boats on display: as many as 221 boats on display, which marked a 47 percent increase over 2022. The Marina di Arechi hosted more than 100 exhibitors and 128 brands with the possibility for the public to conduct sea trials in the inimitable setting of the Gulf overlooking the Amalfi Coast. A great strength this of the Salerno Boat Show.
Also important was the participation of the main national associative and institutional representatives of the boating industry, who embellished the debate, confirming their presence next year in even greater ways and forms. Just as valuable was the “brand partnership” with Italian Yacht Store, Italy’s exclusive Dealer for the Ferretti Yacht, Itama, Pershing and Custom Line brands, which was present with 5 boats that attracted the interest and curiosity of numerous boaters.
Salerno, a city that believes in boating
“The wide interest found by the public, specialized media and insiders,” said Marina d’Arechi President Agostino Gallozzi, “which is in addition to the positive feedback received from the exhibitors present, confirm that we are on the right track. It will not be easy to top this edition, but we already have some solutions in mind that will enhance both the exhibition and organizational parts of the event, which is confirmed as an outstanding showcase for boating and for Salerno.”
It was precisely the support of the city of Salerno for this boat show that was a key driving force. “The City Council’s initiatives to promote the city internationally,” added Agostino Gallozzi, “reinforce the broader vision that Marina d’Arechi has already encountered for several months. It is exactly this vision, open and without barriers, that can enable Salerno’s full inclusion in the international tourism market.”
Appointment, then, to the fall of 2024, with an 8th edition of the Salerno Boat Show that promises to be even richer, more interesting and strategic for central and southern Italy.
