Anchoring and mooring are necessary maneuvers for all boat owners, and are at the same time among the most delicate steps when at sea. Fortunately, we are helped by increasingly modern ad hoc accessories (anchors, anchor windlasses, fenders) that make mooring and anchoring easier, avoiding unforeseen mishaps and difficult moments on board. Here are six new products, scouted at the shows and otherwise.
Anchoring and mooring. Fender – Pop Fender

A fender that measures just 25 centimeters when closed, as much as 62 when open. Why have a telescopic fender? Simple, to save space when you need to keep it on board, even in very small lockers.
Still Olympic – Quick

Compact casting that minimizes weight, using stamped sheet metal for manufacturing, and small fins that keep the anchor perpendicular to the bottom, facilitating anchoring. Weight of the first two models: 13 and 16 kg, suitable for boats up to 13 meters.
Anchoring and mooring. Rocna MK II Anchor – CMP Group

The famous Rocna anchor gets a makeover. Thanks to a new element, the roll-foil, the anchor always finds the best angle of penetration, and ensures a stable hold once anchored. The anchor profile has been revised, allowing this model to be more durable.
DZC 5000 – Data Hidrolik

Resulting from the recent business agreement between SAIM and Data Hidrolik, the Turkish brand’s windlasses made their debut at recent boat shows. The DZC 5000 model, in hydraulic and electric versions, is suitable for large boats.
X1 Dark Version – Lofrans’

The dark version anchor windlass by Lofrans’ is born. The new winches have a chain counter magnet, anodized aluminum gearbox and IP67 protected motor. The chain is operated through the spring-loaded arm.
