The Interlaghi on Lake Leacco is one of the super classic regattas of the inland water racing season, in which so many boats participate each year, with a large presence of one-design and small sport boats. There were 40 boats registered for this 2023 edition, divided into six classes: H22, Fun, J24, Meteor, Orc and RS21 .
There is also never a shortage of Italian sailing champions at Interlaghi: tn the sailors to lend luster to this 49th Interlaghi Winter Championship were: the experienced and titled Flavio Favini on the Meteor “Gullisara” of helmsman Enrico Negri; Roberto Spata on the H22 “Alta Tensione” of Alessandro De Felice winner of the 2022 edition of the Interlaghi; Stefano Lillia on the Fun “Furfante” helmed by “Ciccio” Canali; and the very young Camilla Michelini (Lni Mandello), 16 years old, European junior champion of the 420 class, at the helm of the RS21 “Camilla.”
Interlaghi 2023 – Who Won

Guido Molinari’s Melges 24 “Corazon” is the winner of the 49th edition of the Interlaghi Winter Sailing Championship – Autocogliati Volkswagen Trophy, held in the Gulf of Lecco over the weekend of November 4/5.
Among the Fun the success went to an Interlaghi veteran, Marco Redaelli (Cv Bellano) with his “Dulcis in Fundo Plus” author of four first partials. In the H22s beautiful victory of young Lecco helmsman Filippo Giacomo Martini (Lni Mandello) with “El.tor2ga.” Women’s victory in the J24s where Sonia Ciceri (Lni Mandello), from Mariano Comense, Brianza, took “Bruschetta Guastafeste” to the top step of the podium. Five partial successes in the Meteors for “Gullisara” of the experienced Enrico Negri (Alto Verbano Luino) with tactician Flavio Favini, who have always been linked to Interlaghi.
The Orc consecrated Guido Molinari’s success also in class ahead of Lecco’s Richard Martini (Lni Mandello) with his “Kong Bambino Viziato”: for once it was his son Giacomo who did better than dad Richard. Finally the RS21 class with the success of Alessandro Molla (Alto Verbano) with “Caipirinha” first in five trials.
