There is good news for those who dream of buying a new boat. It is the agreement signed between
Crédit Agricole
and the
Beneteau Group
, which makes it possible to buy a boat by accessing financing or leasing directly through the dealer who brokers the sale, just as it already happens in the automotive world.
Agreement for leasing and financing
Through its subsidiary Crédit Agricole Auto Bank, already engaged in the automotive segment-from two-wheelers to leisure to commercial vehicles-the institution will provide financing and leasing tailored to the purchase of a boat. Beneteau’s range of boats is among the richest on the market, comprising more than 12o models from 4.5 to 24 meters. As for the sailing segment, the group’s boats are divided among the Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, and Excess brands. Customers will then be able to access tailored financing solutions and see the dream of buying a new boat closer. The French bank and Beneteau announced the operation of the agreement from four countries-Greece, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland. Eight more countries will be involved in the project in the coming months, which complements the existing system with the Beneteau Group’s finance company, SGB Finance.
As with automobiles
Just as is the case with cars, therefore, buying will also be easier for those who intend to get their hands on a boat. In fact, the path to accessing a customized lease or financing becomes easier and much less tortuous if it is handled directly by the person selling the boat. And what’s more, the whole rigmarole is handled by professionals who know their target market, the boating market, well and are ready to propose the best solution to help people buy their first (or their next) boat.
Let’s hope that Crédit Agricole and the Beneteau Group will soon extend this beautiful-and useful-initiative to the Italian market as well, which for now is not included within the plan.
