Forty boats of all shapes and sizes battled it out at the VELA Cup Sicilia, along an 8-mile coastal race in the waters off Capo d’Orlando(read the regatta story here). It was an early October weekend of celebration and fun, in that still summery weather that only Sicily gives you. There was not as much wind, but even with only 6 knots, almost all competitors managed to cross the finish line. After the sea race, we returned to land for the awards ceremony of this final leg of the VELA Cup and to celebrate together with food and music for all.
