Genoa’s Porto Antico Marina offers a unique opportunity for anyone with a boat. That of mooring in a marina with all services in the historic center of the city, one of the most important places for Italian boating. Keeping your boat here offers a unique vantage point for exploring the city of Genoa, as well as a number of very convenient services.
Marina Porto Antico – Keeping the boat in town
In choosing a port, as with a hotel, much depends on the services it offers, the convenience, the level of facilities, but what is also decisive is the location. And in addition to all the services that a port typically offers (bar, restaurant, laundry, supermarket to name a few) Marina Porto Antico offers more. Just cross the street and we are in Genoa’s historic center, the largest in Europe. In addition to its proximity to the Aquarium, the Marina is the perfect spot to explore a city that has grown in terms of tourism and culture, with family and children’s activities that are making Genoa an increasingly attractive place, whatever the season. Most importantly, convenient to reach by plane, train and automobile.
The right place to enjoy the boat all year round
Safety is one of the main features of the Marina, which in fact is protected against storm surges directly from the breakwater of the Port of Genoa. Along the docks we find 275 berths, all served with water and power, for boats from 10 to 75 meters with a maximum draft of 8. All guests can take advantage of private parking to drive directly to the port. The marina is chosen is also valued for another use. Several clients leave their boats here and turn it into a second home, coming to enjoy Genoa and its surroundings year-round, even without going out to sea. In fact, the reception service, including baggage concierge and moorings, operates 365 days a year.
It must be said that the climate of recent years now allows tourists to appreciate Liguria even, and perhaps especially, out of season, with fewer crowds and mild temperatures until early November. Suffice it to say that once you drop your moorings, from Marina Porto Antico you can reach Boccadasse in twenty minutes, to have a swim or an aperitif in a spectacular corner. In addition, the Marina organizes various events throughout the year for its clients. For example, the VSG Cup, a team sports competition combining three regions (Liguria, Piedmont, Trentino) and three sports (sailing, golf, skiing). The event runs from October to May, with two regattas, two ski races and two golf competitions that unite and invite people to discover three disciplines and three destinations that are so different from each other.
