In the first installment devoted to new products coming to boat shows we talked about “mid-size” boats, this time we go up a range. Blue water cruisers are the long-distance boats, which have changed somewhat in recent years and also embrace designs with a more sporty philosophy, such as some in the selection we offer here. X-Yachts, Ice, Swan, Arcona, Grand Soleil, here are 5 blue waters to dream big.
X49MK II

Compared with MK 1, launched in 2018, this fast cruiser has a new look with a modified hull, new rudder, lower overall weight, and more luxurious interior. These are in brief the improvements made to the original model that revamp it in a major way. Innovate without distorting.

ARCONA 50

The first Arcona by Niels Jeppesen, historic X-Yachts founder and designer who has “switched stables.” The aesthetic is one that harkens back to the world of performance-cruisers, with generous but balanced volumes, nearly inverted bow exits that are also appealing to those who like sporty boats.
