Forty boats of all shapes and sizes, from dinghies to maxis, crowded the Gulf of Cugnana (Sardinia) for the second edition of the VELA Cup Costa Smeralda at Marina Cala dei Sardi. Race skippers and superstar cabin cruisers, alongside passionate cruising sailors, participated in the most fun regatta there is. A festive and vacation atmosphere framed the event, which was held in the Mediterranean’s most environmentally friendly marina. After the sea race, participants had the opportunity to hear tales of the sea adventures of the 122nd Commander of the Amerigo Vespucci Gianfranco Bacchi, now Commodore of the Cala dei Sardi Yacht Club. Finally, in the evening, after the awards ceremony, a party livened up the marina’s lawn.
