A breathtaking route, along the canals of the Lagoon, starting and finishing on the island of San Giorgio, in front of St. Mark’s Square. A regatta in the Lagoon? Here’s the VELA Cup Venice

Raise your hand if you are reading this article and have ever raced or even sailed inside Venice? How many have left San Marco behind and set their bows toward the Lido? What we want you to experience with the VELA Cup Venice, which will take place on Saturday, July 22, is a dream: racing inside the most beautiful city in the world with your own boat, or why not, renting one for the occasion.

Departure and arrival are on the island of St. George, in front of St. Mark’s Square, and then edged along a long path that circumnavigates the Venice Lido, the most glamorous island in the lagoon, where even today Hollywood stars still visit every summer to walk the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. In the evening, the awards ceremony and party are at the Sailing Company’s nautical headquarters, a unique location with a terrace overlooking the lagoon from which to sip a spritz with friends.
