Birthday celebrations continue for Verga1958, which celebrates 65 years since its birth this year by launching several new products on the market. While waiting for the juiciest news, which will be unveiled in September at the Genoa International Boat Show, we present the first novelty of 2023: kayaks.
The Kayak (also transparent) of Verga1958
The first novelty of 2023 at Verga1958, which in view of its 65th anniversary celebration has a few more surprises in store (which we will see at the Genoa Boat Show), are kayaks. There are two models launched, both designed by Matteo Costa Yacht & Design. Both have a length of 2.49 meters and a width of 0.88 meters, with a total weight of just 16 kg and can accommodate one person on board. Kayaks are sold with a seat, paddle, two rings and buoyancy reserve. The new kayak is available in two different materials, both of which have already been successfully tested on Verga1958’s boats.
Oyster Life
is made of recycled (and 100 percent recyclable) plastic while
Oyster View
is made of transparent polycarbonate.

Transparent boat & Tender “total green”
He has recently made his debut in the kayak world, but Verga1958 has been making boats between 2.20 and 6 meters for more than 60 years. Some of the boats he produces, because of their small size, can be used in place of a rigid tender, or independently for short trips. Great success was enjoyed by
Coral View 250
, a boat with a V-shaped hull that makes it very stable, weighs only 37 kg and is…transparent! Coral View 250, like its length, 2.50 m x 1.27 wide, comes with scales and a pair of oars, but if desired it can be equipped (already at the time of purchase) with an electric outboard motor up to 3.9 hp. Its main special feature is certainly that it is completely transparent, thus allowing total visibility even under the hull.
Attention to the environment at Verga1958 led to the birth of the “twin” of Coral View 250. It is called
Coral Life 250
and it is a 100 percent environmentally friendly boat. This vessel is the same size as its transparent sister, although it weighs 4 kilograms less, and is made from a recycled technopolymer, obtained from end-of-life plastic products. Not only recycled but also recyclable because Coral Life 250 can in turn be 100 percent recycled when it reaches the end of its use cycle.
