5 reasons to register now for the VELA Cup La Maddalena
1. The VELA Cup is open to all types of boats, all sizes and shapes, no age restrictions, no bureaucracy. Monohulls and multihulls, cabin cruisers and open boats, built in any material, no tonnage certificate is required. Participating is super easy for everyone. And from this year there is also a new Classic Boat class, reserved for boats at least 25 years old.
2. At the VELA Cup, there are prizes for (almost) everyone, including special prizes for the most elegant boat and the last place finisher, as well as rich raffle prizes offered by our sponsors. Just think that 40% of all competitors get a prize, because at the VELA Cup you don’t just win at sea, you get lucky!
3. Mooring is free for all boats coming from outside, which will be accommodated free of charge in the Cala Gavetta Port in the center of the village of La Maddalena. All the more reason to have a weekend with us and participate in the VELA Cup.
4. The Gift Bag which is given to all registered crews and includes: race instructions and number stickers to put on the hull, VELA Cup T-shirt, a copy of the Sailing Newspaper and many gadgets from Garmin, Leatherman, Plastimo, HiNelson, YachtIngBond and Veneziani Yachting.
