A new marina is emerging in Piombino

A new marina is being built in Tuscany in the Piombino area. Work on the new dock continues at a good pace, and the first berths will be marketed soon. The new Tuscan Archipelago Marina will allow the transit of boats up to sixty meters in length with berths for boats up to 20 meters. The port will overlook the Piombino Canal and will be an excellent way to reachElba Island.
A new marina is born in Piombino
Construction work on the new Tuscan Archipelago Marina in Piombino is nearing completion. The project, implemented by the “La Chiusa di Pontedoro” Cooperative, will provide 656 berths for boats up to 20 meters with a 5-meter bottom. The new marina also includes two areas of about 100 spaces each for city boating and charters, and an area reserved for fishermen. On land, in addition to the commercial area, the area dedicated to shipbuilding is as much as 9 hectares, with about 1.5 hectares of dry marina for trailerable boats, fishing, and sports and cultural activities.
When will the new port be ready?
Looking ahead to thesummer of 2023, the Tuscan Archipelago Marina will open on a provisional basis, only for Cooperative members who have signed up for usage fees. Between August and September, marketing of winter berths for the eastern dock will gradually open. The new Tuscan Archipelago Marina will be fully operational and 100% commercialized in 2024.
