All the stages of the VELA Cup 2023

Looking for crew or offer boarding, here’s how to do it!

STEP 1: Create a profile

Click on the My Match Race homepage where it says“Register.”

You will arrive on the“Registration” page. Here you will need to enter biographical data and create a profile with sailing and racing experience and also “sporting ambitions.” After entering your initial biographical data and setting your password, confirm your registration by clicking the link you will receive at the email address you provided. Remember to check your spam folder!

VELA Cup. STEP 2: What racer are you?

At this point you will need to add all your personal details on your personal profile. Fill in everything to be able to access the next step, the “Seeking/Offering Boarding” step. If you are a boat owner or skipper, your personal profile will be associated with the Boat profile. No more than two vessels can be associated with each personal profile.

Step 3: Look for a boarding/crew!

Sailor, once you have completed your registration with all the details (make sure you have done that) you move on to the “Seeking Boarding” stage by indicating the role, period and/or regattas you are interested in.

VELA Cup. The regatta for everyone, even if you have a “vintage” boat

As announced big news at this year’s regatta is the new “Classic Boat” class, for all those boats, including production and fiberglass boats, at least 25 years old. So step up because competition is for everyone. There are those who participate in the Sport Boat category, using non-inferred sails such as spi, gennaker and code 0, and those who just want to have fun with friends and family, in the Cruising Boat category , with white sails. You don’t have to be a sailing champion to win; there are prizes a little bit for everyone. In addition to a rich gift bag, numerous beautiful prizes offered by partners Garmin, Veneziani, Leatherman, Plastimo, HiNelson, and YachtingBond will be raffled off on Saturday evening at the awards ceremony. All it takes to win is a stroke of luck!
