Enviable spaces and a sail plan designed for true sailing-these are the main features of Bali Catamarans’ new catamaran, the Bali Catsmart. It is less and less until the official unveiling of the catamaran, which will make its official debut at the
International Multihull Boat Show 2023
held in April in La Grand-Motte.
Bali Catsmart – The smallest in the range
The Bali Catsmart will be the French shipyard’s first 38-foot (11.78-meter) long catamaran, making it the smallest in the Bali Catamarans range. With a length of less than 12 meters and a width of 6.46 meters, the volumes on board are actually optimized for maximum space. For example, aboard this boat we find the enclosed bow, a hallmark of Bali catamarans, which allows all the space between the two hulls to be utilized with a true front cockpit with equipped sunbathing areas. We do not find a flybridge, which would be unthinkable on such a small boat, but the interplay between interior and exterior spaces brings this catamaran’s spaces closer to the openspace concept.
Bali Catsmart – What the interior looks like
The rear cockpit area, which houses the wheelhouses and rigging on either side, is covered and connected to the interior by the overhead hatch that opens aft, another feature of the French shipyard. Thanks to this choice, in addition to greatly increasing the habitability on board, the brightness of the interior is improved, which is ensured in the cabins by continuous fenestration on the side. The spacious square houses the kitchen, complete with fridge-freezer, and common areas dedicated to comfort. The proposed interior configurations also wink at the private owner, and not just sl charter, especially in the 2-cabin layout (one per hull) with two private bathrooms. In fact, the Bali Catsmart is designed for couples and families with children, who wish to experience a vacation while also going sailing. Therefore the sail area is definitely important, and you can choose to have a genoa as well. The other versions designed for interiors are the 4-cabin, 4-bathroom layout and the 3-cabin, 2-bathroom layout.
