Internet connection has become almost indispensable for doing many of the activities we do on a daily basis, and boating is no exception. With increasingly modern instruments and increasingly stable networks, it is possible to control on-board parameters directly from a smartphone or even smartwatch. But also in terms of safety, new accessories, such as radar and personal locators, are increasingly accurate and reliable.
Boat Accessories 2023 – Yachtsense Ecosystem – Raymarine

YachtSense Ecosystem is Raymarine’s solution that allows you to create your own “smart home” on the water. With the Raymarine app and YachtSense Link, the new marinized router, you can configure and edit the vessel’s profile, monitor critical onboard systems, activate bilge pumps, monitor tanks and fuel levels, control electrical devices, synchronize with navigation systems, back up and transfer waypoints from your smartphone to the onboard display.
WebBoat Plus 5G – Glomex

WebBoat Plus 5G is Glomex’s new integrated Coastal Internet 5G/Wi-Fi Dual Sim system for high-speed Internet surfing, ensuring stable and fast connections up to about 20 miles away from the coast. The device allows up to 32 devices to be connected simultaneously with browsing speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. If 5G coverage is not available, the system connects to 4G to surf at up to 1 Gbps.
RescueME PLB3 – Ocean Signal

Within this Personal Locator Beacon, an emergency locator, are almost all communication technologies. An AIS device for man overboard detection, a GPS, a Cospas-Sarsat locator, and the Galileo Return Link service. Raymarine’s new Cyclone solid-state open-array radars allow for peace of mind on board and safe navigation, even when faced with the most challenging conditions. These high-end radars allow simultaneous dual displays on the display, e.g., long and medium-short range, thanks to RangeFusion. In addition they implement detailed and updated high-speed imaging that can reach 60 RPM.

Thanks to the wireless connection, you can read data from networked sensors via NMEA 2000 protocol such as speed, depth, temperature and wind, and much more-the electronics are always in control
MZ Link – MZ Electronic

MZ-LINK is the control unit that allows MZ Electronics products to be connected to on-board instrumentation. Using this tool, one can first choose the type of boat and, depending on the unit, set some specific parameters and customize the interface, so as to have maximum uniformity between instruments and boat and improve the management of mooring and maneuvering in port. The instrument allows, for example, control of winches, meter counters and thrusters, bow and stern thrusters, all from a single interface.
