Best Boat Accessories – How to revamp boat electronics in 2023
Choosing the right instrumentation to install on board is an important task not only for those buying a new boat. Indeed, those buying a used boat will have to calibrate the equipment to their needs-cruising or racing, for example-and decide what accessories to have on the boat. Here are the ones we recommend for renewing your on-board electronics!
Boat Accessories 2023 – Navico – B&G – Zeus 3S

Zeus 3S is B&G’s new chartplotter equipped with the latest operating system that is very easy to use. The system is designed to provide only necessary information while hiding superfluous information, which still remains reachable, as well as advanced functions, at the user’s request. The system integrates seamlessly with the B&G app.
Boat Electronics: Garmin – On Deck

OnDeck’s new fully integrated remote connectivity system is based on a black box module that allows the user to control up to five utilities and receive updates on battery voltage, bilge activity, temperature changes, dock power status and generally all interfaced NMEA 2000 sensors, all via smartphone or tablet using the free Active Captain app. With OnDeck, you can monitor and be in full control of your boat wherever you are.
Furuno – TZ Series

Furuno’s TZ display range includes multitouch displays that incorporate a quad-core processor that allows the monitor to be divided into four portions, taking advantage of four different features without losing speed or response time. Images are always very sharp and bright at any viewing angle, and you can of course also connect the Furuno range sounder and radar to the display. The whole thing is also controllable from smartphones.

Vakaros – Atlas 2

Atlas 2 is a tool designed to help sailors during regattas. Its display measures 115 x 88.7 mm (14.6 mm deep), weighs only 175 grams, and has a number of indispensable functions. The display has a gyro compass that measures in tenths of a degree, and among the data that can be displayed are speed, leeward angle, inclination, VMG, and precise boat position, with a margin of error in the range of 50 centimeters. Also very useful is the function that shows the instance from the starting line and the time left to reach it.
Navico – B&G Command

Command is the new control and monitoring system presented by B&G. The platform returns a unique and personalized user experience when navigating within the B&G multifunction display and other Navico Group brands. The Command system is able to integrate home automation-related functions, utilities, and electronics all in one display for the first time on a sailboat. The system makes life easier for those approaching the multifunctional tool with its user-friendly interface.

This kit from Veratron is the smart system for monitoring batteries. A 6-meter cable with plug and play connectors is provided in addition to the VL Flex sensor.
