TOP 2023 sailing equipment
Often, little is needed to simplify and improve maneuvering on board: just equip yourself with the right accessories, such as choosing from the best accessories of 2023. Here you will find the best in sailing gear: accessories to equip the deck to the fullest.
Sailing Equipment 2023 – Performa 55.3 – Harken
Harken’s Performa 55.3 winch was born from the demand of Oceanic sailors in the Class 40s, one of the “hottest” classes of the moment that features several Italians, such as those currently engaged in the Route du Rhum. On the Performa, limited RPM is sufficient to handle high loads. On boats where continuous sail adjustment is needed, the crew is greatly facilitated and can work very quickly and with great sensitivity on gusts and wind shifts.
Sectoring – Antal
SectoRing is the low-cost swivel ring with super small size and weight. This is the perfect solution produced by Antal for high loads where large and fast movements are not required. The complete product range includes 4 models with Safe Working Load up to 3.8 tons. Replacement Dyneema Snap Loops are available for each model. This fiber, characterized by very high stiffness, strength and smoothness, has enabled the development of a new series of equipment.
Blender KF V3 Karver – Special Rig
Karver’s new KF V3 blender is as environmentally friendly as possible. Carbon fiber has been replaced almost entirely with flax fiber, and bioplastics have been used extensively. The fork is molded from stainless steel which is stronger durable and uses fewer raw materials in its manufacture than aluminum.
ZXB Jammer – Spinlock
This new high load choke from Spinlock, the ZXB, is made of aluminum and features a Technora constriction sleeve. Easy to install on deck, with only two through holes to drill to attach bolts (in fact, nuts do not need to be held during assembly), measures less than 30 cm and weighs less than 400 grams.
Jiber furling – Ubi Maior
Jiber is the highly intelligent structural reel produced by Ubi Maior. Instead of the classic aluminum extrusion, this furling system uses a rod cable integral with the drum, which then rotates whenever the sail is opened or closed. Two snap-on guides hold the shuttle, which is guided and rotates along with the forestay, allowing the sail to open and, more importantly, to close in the proper manner. Most useful for those who want to lighten the weight on deck and do not want to have to replace equipment in cruise-regatta changes.
