Checco Bruni flies again: masters title at Moth World Championships

Checco Bruni proved once again that he can fly, and fly hard, too. It was a great show at the Moth World Cup 2022 held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Nov. 27 to Dec. 4, despite inclement weather.

During the 14 trials of the Moth World Championship, Checco Bruni once again confirmed that he is one of the strongest on this drift. The helmsman of Red Moon returns to Italy with the sixth place overall and first place in the Master category. The “new journey between water and air”-this is the slogan chosen by Franke, the sponsor who for the second year in a row is accompanying Francis aboard his Moth – ended on a high note once again. were particularly challenging during all 7 days of the race, but in the end all the races on the schedule were carried out correctly.
World Moth 2022 – Glia other placings.
Taking home the World Moth 2022 was – with 17 points – Britain’s Dylan Fletcher Scott, followed by the host, Argentina’s Massimo Contessi, who also won the Junior title. Third place went to Italy’s Simone Salva, who finished on the podium with 36 points. Checco Bruni placed sixth – among 38 participants – behind Americans Brad Funk and Richard Didham, and was crowned Master World Champion. The other Italians in the race finished with good and fair placings. Eleventh place for Lorenzo De Felice, 19th for Franco Mazzetti while Francesco Cerina ‘s World Championship ended in 36th place.
