Per those who love cruising catamarans with luxury amenities, the name Leopard Catamarans will certainly be familiar. These catamarans were born in the South African Robertson & Caine shipyards and bear the signature of architects Simonis & Voogd. In our country they are imported by the company Sail Italia, the first to focus on the construction and sailing qualities of these cat.
THE RANGE.
The Leopard Catamarans shipyard now has three models in its range: the Leopard 42, 45, and 50. Three hulls that share a distinct family feeling, including a large fly bridge with command station and outdoor living area, with a sheltered main cockpit.
The latest addition to the range is the Leopard 42, a cruising cat that has all the features to satisfy the needs of the modern yachtsman looking for a vessel that is extremely comfortable but also aesthetically pleasing.

The boat’s design revolves around the “heart” of a modern cat, the panoramic deckhouse, which has become a must-have in cruising catamarans. On the 42 it is somewhat “extreme” to ensure maximum livability of the outdoor area with the indoor area, so that the dinette looks like a veranda on the sea.
Voted Multihull of the Year in 2022 at the La Grande Motte multihull show dedicated to multihulls, the Leopard 42 has a style in the exteriors that is an evolution of the Leopard 50, a milestone in Leopard Catamarans production to such an extent that it also inspires the motor models. In addition to the panoramic deckhouse, the sailing 42 features continuous side windows along both hulls near the cabins, a hardtop hardtop, and on it what has become in effect an upper lounge area.
The forward solution of the living cell is also interesting. Although the net is present between the two hulls, before it the designers managed to carve out a comfortable sunbathing area that can also be used as a living area in the bow if necessary. Sunbathing areas that are also present at the stern, between the two hulls.
Leopard 42 – Interior

There is no doubt that one of the highlights of the Leopard 42 is the interior, and in particular the repaired salon. In fact, the feeling is not that of being inside an enclosed place so much the interior communicates with the outside and in particular with the aft living area.
The effect of the light is impressive and allows you to experience the boat 100% even on bad weather days. Also characteristic of cabins that have a double, and in some cases triple, light source. A detail that in interior livability makes a difference.
