Wevo Last Call, what it includes
Let’s see how the offer works. In celebration of building the last two Wevo 6.5s to achieve Series tonnage, the Cima Boats shipyard is offering the Wevo Last Call initiative.
The object is a Mini Wevo 6.5 built in compliance with the Mini Series Class regulations .
In detail:
- The hull is molded with outer skin/3dcore/inner skin, made of isophthalic-neopentyl polyester resin.
- The blanket is printed with outer skin/core pvc/inner skin of isophthalic-neopentyl polyester resin.
- A new keel cast iron laminated on the outside with fiberglass, plus the new lead bulb, redesigned in geometries and weight distribution. The first keel of the Wevo weighed 230 kg, the current one 95 kg; the bulb used so far weighed 230 kg and the current one 300 kg. That means a boat 65 kg lighter (about 6 percent of the total) and with a further improved displacement-to-ballast ratio.
- Rudders, with new needles and sisselles, redesigned and CNC milled from aisi 316 steel billet.
- In order not to create problems for the series, the other 9 Wevo 6.5s are also being updated so that they are all identical boats.
- New shaft 90 mm longer, repositioned boom 90 mm lower. The new design of the submerged appendages allowed us to make the boat more sailable and therefore more powerful.
- No shortage of bowsprit, outrigger, forestay and rigging, which again provides for improvement. The attachment of the D1 diagonal shrouds was modified and brought to the deckhouse to close the headsail more and further improve the upwind angle.
- Deck equipment which also includes 3 winches, 5 halyard stoppers plus 2 spi arm stoppers and 2 more stoppers for the steering wheels. And then rings and blocks, etc.
- Lhe sails To immediately start going out with: Solent, mainsail and tails 5;
- All shipboard rigging, halyards, sheets, booms and rigging in general supplied by Armare Ropes, one of Italy’s best known and titled manufacturers;
- The electrical system already installed that includes: the electrical panel, street lights at the mast head, and interior light.
- The stickers for the number on the hull and the number on the deck spray-painted.
- The hull will already be prepared with hard matrix antifouling or self-polishing, depending on preference
- The site is located in Tuscany, in Grosseto, only a two-hour drive from Rome and two hours from Florence. No problem then to reach it to check the status of the work, and not even to put it in the sea in Marina di Grosseto or Castiglione della Pescaia, at the shipowner’s choice: transportation is already included in the offer and the preparation that involves the assembly of the mast and keel and the actual launching.
