Dufour 37 – How it changes from the Dufour 360
For the latest boat launched by Dufour, the shipyard again entrusted the design to Umberto Felci’s Felci Yacht Design studio, which sought to create a boat that is comfortable yet enjoyable to sail. The Dufour 37 is a comfortable cruising boat with excellent interior and exterior volumes, especially aft in the cockpit. It is in fact an evolution of the Dufour 360, which has been rethought to have a more comfortable interior, partly due to the 20 centimeters it gains in width, and a larger sail area. The data sheet claims 10.77 meters overall length (9.99 m hull length) and a maximum beam of 3.80 meters, for the full data sheet click here to visit Race Nautica ‘s booth at Milan Yachting Week.
Characteristics
Some features of the Dufour 470 are also seen again on the Dufour 37. One example is the very long fenestration on the broadside, also echoed on the deckhouse, which allows natural light to illuminate the interior. The aft platform allows for further expansion of the livable space in the cockpit, which is already quite large, and there is plenty of room in the sundeck area in the bow as well. Watch our video below to better understand how the spaces are organized on the Dufour 37.
As for the interior, the shipyard thought of two different layouts. The first configuration has two twin cabins aft and a master cabin forward, while the second configuration has one cabin forward and one aft, with a more spacious bathroom. The kitchen is always L-shaped, complete with everything, and the common spaces around the table are large.
