RORC Caribbean 600: Maserati going strong, Wizard on the run, other Italians lagging behind

For the bulk of the RORC Caribbean 600 fleet, the first quarter of the regatta is already behind them with decidedly strong averages for the bulk of the fleet. The news for the Italian boats involved is bittersweet.
The Multi 70 Maserati under Giovanni Soldini is firmly in the lead over Argo, 13 miles behind, when there are still 270 miles to go to the finish line. Less good news for the Mylius 50 Ars Una and the Wally 60 Good Job Guys. Both boats have already covered about 170 miles si course and still have 430 miles ahead, but while struggling in the middle of the fleet at the moment they are given far from the leading positions on corrected time, but there is still plenty of time to turn the tables. Recall that the victory of the regatta is awarded by the IRC overall ranking. Firmly leading the fleet in real time is the American Volvo 70 Wizard, at this time also given the lead in compensated time.
The withdrawal of the new Maxi 72 Bella Mente, skippered by Terry Hutchinson, one of the favorites for the final victory, was peculiar: in the harsh conditions after the start, the boat began taking on a lot of water, forcing an immediate withdrawal to check the cause.
