Owner, are you without half the crew? Fear not, from today you can count on My Match Race, the virtual platform where sailors who want to race meet. Here’s how it works.
On the VELA Cup website, the function SEARCH/OFFER BOAT is already available (Click here)
STEP 1: Create a profile
Click on the My Match Race homepage where it says “Register.”
You will arrive on the “Registration” page. Here you will need to enter biographical data and create a profile with sailing and racing experience and also “sporting ambitions.” After entering your initial biographical data and setting your password, confirm your registration by clicking the link you will receive at the email address you provided. Remember to check your spam folder!
STEP 2: What racer are you?
At this point you will need to add all your personal details on your personal profile. Fill in everything to be able to access the next step, the “Seeking/Offering Boarding” step. If you are a boat owner or skipper, your personal profile will be associated with theBoat profile. No more than two boats can be associated with each personal profile.
Step 3: Look for a boarding/crew!
Sailor, once you have completed your registration with all the details (make sure you have done that) you move on to the“Seeking Boarding” stage by indicating the role, period and/or regattas you are interested in.
Owner or Skipper, for you the“Offer Boarding” section aboard your boat, for your chosen roles, period and/or races.
A sail for all in a magical place!
Over the years there have been many great faces of Italian sailing who have taken part in the TAG Heuer VELA Cup, from Vincenzo Onorato to Tommaso Chieffi, via Mauro Pelaschier and Roberto Lacorte. World-renowned boats such as My Song or the first Moor of Venice-just last year we reunited “the boys of the Moor” in Santa-but also crews of families and simple sailing enthusiasts such as that of Luigi Gaddi, who with his Dufour 44, Lirae, was the overall winner of the 2018 VELA Cup circuit. Or even the legendary Angela Besana Gagliardi who at 100 years old participated in the VELA Cup in Santa (by the way, both Gaddi and signoara Angela you can vote for them among the 100 TAG Heuer Sailor of the Year nominees!). The setting of the Gulf of Tigullio and Portofino is the added value, the charm of sailing in one of the most beautiful places on our peninsula.
Now all you have to do is sign up(click here) or search/offer boarding(click here)!
