From the upright foredeck to the deep bulbous keel, the Platu 25 has all the characteristics of Bruce Farr‘s “thoroughbreds.” On deck an unparalleled rig is perfectly arranged to allow you to make the most of this exceptional hull and well-proportioned sail plan. The large cockpit makes maneuvering for the entire crew quick and easy; everyone easily finds a place on board and has a way to move around without difficulty.
It is these characteristics that make it a favorite monotype among racers. For maneuvering in port, a useful locker is located under a double “flush” hood in the cockpit, where the outboard motor is housed, attached on optional swivel mounts. True to the spirit of the monotype, it brings together high technology and simplicity of construction: the composite rudder and axle are molded and put together in one piece, which ensures lightness and rigidity. The hull, counter mold and deck are molded with the utmost care to ensure the best possible impregnation and optimal layering.
