The violent whirlwind that
struck the Santa Marinella marina last November 8 destroyed many boats of the Este 24 fleet that were on the trolleys.

The boats of the University Sailing Center of Rome, the landmark sailing school in Lazio for university students and beyond, were not spared. That’s why the association has launched a fundraiser: “Pending an assessment of the extensive damage to the hulls,” a statement read, “we urgently need to restore the road carriages on which they rest and order new masts and rigging, which were completely destroyed.”
