From June 25-30, Seville will host its first Boat Show. This is the first time in Spain that a boat show has been held in an inland port.
The Spanish city will welcome visitors and exhibitors on an area of 30,000 square meters, divided into thematic areas in the Muelle de las Delicia port area. This event will place Seville among the most revealing Spanish events in the nautical scene. The show will consist of a mainland exhibit and a floating exhibit that will involve a multitude of boats ascending the Guadalquivir River.
Seville’s importance in the world
On the 500th anniversary of the circumnavigation of the globe by Ferdinand Magellan and Elcano, who had sailed from Seville itself, the city will host its first Boat Show. After the discovery of the Americas, Seville had played a leading role in trade and commerce with the overseas colonies, hosting the Casa de Contratación, the trade body that held a monopoly on goods from the American colonies.
