GARMIN / GPSMAP 86i (CATEGORY: ELECTRONICS)
Do you need a handheld GPS? The brand new GPSMAP 86i from Garmin is for you: in addition to a color screen where you can view the course and all the wireless data from your chartplotter (and check autopilot) includes InReach technology which provides, via the Iridium global satellite network, location sharing, two-way messaging to and from any mobile device, and a 24-hour emergency service to call for help even where there is no cellular coverage. DISCOVER MORE.
GARMIN / FORCE TROLLING MOTOR (CATEGORY: PROPULSION)
Force marks Garmin’s entry into electric motors, is a brushless motor (brushless, meaning that it does not need electrical contacts on the rotor shaft to operate: less mechanical resistance means more efficiency and less maintenance) that runs at 24 or 36 V and emits, according to the manufacturer, 30 percent more power than existing motors.
Designed for fishing enthusiasts (but can also work great for a small tender), it integrates a transducer for Garmin CHIRP traditional and Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü sonars. It wirelessly interfaces with compatible Garmin chartplotters in order to operate in autopilot mode. The control pedal, which is wireless, can be powered by stylus batteries or, via cable, directly to the on-board power supply. A portable, floating remote control is included and incorporates a transflective, anti-glare display screen. DISCOVER MORE.
KARVER / KWC AND KWH (CATEGORY: COVERAGE EQUIPMENT)
The Karver Compact Winch (KCV) is a new and unique 2-speed manual winch for small boats, 6 to 12 meters, racing and cruising. It has the same dimensions as a standard size 20 winch.
The first gear is super fast (twice as fast as a 46 model), the second speed is super powerful and easy to use (it has the same power as a 46 winch offers).
In a nutshell, according to the company this “is the most powerful, fastest and smallest winch on the market.” You can use it to replace larger models while saving weight and space. DISCOVER MORE.
Along with the winch, the KWH superlight, low-friction carbon handle was also awarded. DISCOVER MORE.
