It is called Maverick and is a “four-in-one” drift (seated and standing sailing, sup, windsurfing) designed by the creator of the bestselling O’pen BIC, Italian Daniele Vitali, with the support of the British company Maverick World, which, with Mark Knight and Glen Truswell, world champion International14, oversaw its technical and production development.
It is a true “platform” boat that allows multiple uses, sailing and otherwise, without having to be an expert or have special athletic skills.
Made of polyethylene, 3.35 meters long and 1.3 meters wide, with a total weight of 43 kilograms, it is maintenance-free and its compact size allows it to be easily transported in a car (European approval for two people with 155Kg load).
Aluminum daggerboard, rudder, mast and boom manufactured by Seldén, sails by Hyde Sails with two options: 5-square meter reducible and 6.25-square meter square top. Seats for when sailing are removable and inflatable.
SUP and WINDSURF
Options include a Paddle kit consisting of drift-fin-paddle for use in SUP, single or double mode, and a Windsurf kit consisting of drift-fin-Rig complete to try the experience of cruising windsurfing.
Prices are attractive: 3,407 euros including VAT for the 5.0 version (5-sqm sail reducible) and 3,527 for the 6.25 (6.25-sqm sail battened).
