With the help of Mediterranean Mini 6.50 Champion Matteo Sericano, we explain how to perform a simple, New Zealand-style, self-locking splice. It requires no stitching and is among the most widely used because of its ease of fabrication and reliability. We will only need the line to splice (we used a Dyneema line), a splice feeder and a knife. Follow the step-by-step video and you too will be able to make a perfect splice. (B.D.B.)
