Today’s appointment with Ports Special 2021 is with Venezia Certosa Marina, a modern Marina Resort positioned in the center of the Venice Lagoon.
Vento di Venezia is the company that has been managing the Certosa Island regeneration plan since 2003. In 2004, it established a multipurpose service center for recreational boating at the state-owned island of Certosa with the aim of revitalizing the abandoned island and making it usable. Here is the
Venice Certosa Marina
, a facility that includes a Innovative marina capable of accommodating all types of units, from the vessel to the recreational vessel, sail and motor, a Construction site for maintenance and technical assistance, hauling and launching equipment and garaging, a nautical school capable of issuing licenses and professional titles, a sailing school and an accommodation facility with a diversified Alajmo signature food and wine offerings. Above all, the Charterhouse is a large park, with an extraordinary natural and cultural heritage and spaces for outdoor recreation and leisure, events and sports activities.
The port
The marina, classified
Marina Resort
as it is equipped with innovative facilities for overnight accommodation of boaters on board its vessels, can accommodate more than 400 vessels, boats and pleasure craft. The port facilities consist of floating docks, with finger catways, equipped with water, power, broadband, and perennial guard service dispensers. The barrier-free moorings are protected from all tidal and current conditions and redoxed from prevailing winds. Thanks to the berths in the southern forebay, the
Venice Certosa Marina
can now accommodate superyachts and large catamarans up to 70 meters in length and 7 meters in draft. A integrated path, aimed at containing the environmental impact, enabled the confirmation of the FEE Blue Flag under the system of integrated management asseverated by the certifying body RINA, which, in addition to the certifications ISO 9001, ISO SA8000, ISO14001 and ISO45001, awarded the marina with the 4th level MaRina Excellence a recognition of port, tourist and accommodation services.
Where it is located
The Certosa is one the most extensive of the minor islands of the Venice lagoon:
Venice Certosa Marina
is in the center of the lagoon, near the Lido inlet (less than a mile away), and adjacent to the Arsenal, the Castello sestiere, and less than two kilometers from St. Mark’s Square. The island is served by regular public transportation (every 20′), equipped with numerous moorings for short-staying boaters. Guests can also rely on the dedicated shuttle service.
