Danish shipyard X-Yachts has taken care of that, having just unveiled the MK 2 version of its highly successful X4³, the 13-meter PureX series built since 2016 in more than 100 examples.
It looks like a totally new boat, and indeed it is, given the quantity and quality of interventions. Let’s see them.
A new stern
The new X4³ has new aft sections with significantly increased volumes above the waterline, where the maximum beam has also been set back. This intervention allows for even greater performance in aft gaits, while also greatly increasing cockpit and swim platform spaces.

Aesthetically, the wing guards have a new design and slope more gently toward the stern. The side aesthetics gain from this, which is now more pleasing.

Lots of changes to better navigate
As for deck equipment, jib rails are standard, while the self-tacking jib rail, now recessed, can be ordered by more cruising-oriented owners.

But that’s not all, the sail plan has also been redesigned, which has a larger surface area and provides better performance even in low wind.
First deliveries of the new X-Yachts X4³ are scheduled to start in January 2022.
