A question that, at least once, you have all asked yourself. Who is the greatest sailor of the modern era? Now it is no longer time to tergiversate, banish indecision: we ask you to indicate it to us by voting online in the poll we propose (you can do this from PCs, tablets and smartphones: at the bottom of the article are the rules with timelines, regulations and prizes) among these thirty sailing legends whom, laboriously, we have selected and whose story we tell you, one by one. Among other things, you can win the longest subscription to the Sailing Newspaper in history: 30 years!
THE THOUSAND SOULS OF SAILING
Why the “laboriously” you can easily understand: there have been so many, so many great sailors of the past and present, skimming down to a get a shortlist of thirty names has been an almost impossible task. In these 30 stories is the essence of sailing. A sport or rather a practice where many different souls coexist. No sport expresses so many opportunities to play it. Those who play soccer, good or bad, have one goal: to score one goal more than the opponent. Those who play tennis strike the winning blow. In sailing, unique among all sports, one can choose which role to play. Aggressive to try to win a regatta, focused to think about sailing around the world, reckless to explore remote territories.

Let’s see in detail how the challenge will unfold:
– ELIMINATORY STAGE (MULTIPLE VOTING) – 30 to 4 CANDIDATES.
