And here they are, the first images of the long-awaited X56, the brand-new 15-meter X-Yachts, which touched the water in the cold bends of Haderslev Fjord, Denmark.
An experienced team of designers and engineers performed a thorough check of the planting, all equipment and carried out the masting of the boat. Once sea trials are completed, the boat will return to the assembly area for interior finishing and will then be prepared for the world premiere presentation at the X-Yachts showroom.
X56, THE CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE
With the introduction of X-65 in 2007, X-Yachts started to build some hulls using the vacuum infusion technique with epoxy resin to make its performance yachts, from 2018 onwards with more than 10 years of experience behind it, X-Yachts diecide to extend this technique to make the whole range. Vacuum infusion lamination, of epoxy resin offers full control of the production cycle, optimizing weight savings while providing strength and rigidity. This is finished with a second baking in a 70° oven. In the X5

the bulb weight accounts for 40 percent of the boat’s displacement, the significant righting increases the stability of the yacht, allowing the crew to spend moments of relaxation, immersed in comfort and in total safety.
PERFORMANCE & SPACES
This new generation of modern performance-cruisers combines the wide, deep sections of the Xc line with the ‘efficiency of the Xp line. The hull lines draw an edge in the aft sections that vanishes toward the bow, increasing shape stability in upwind sailing while creating ample room for the aft cabins. New to this model is the bow flex that elegantly connects the foredeck with the long foresail, also allowing the jib furler to be moved further forward and the anchor to be more offset from the hull.
EASY SAILING
X5

is a hull devoted to easy sailing. All rigging is deferred to the aft part of the cockpit, near the wheelhouses. Jib furler and self-tacking jib rail are standard equipment. For more demanding sailing, jib furler and forestay can be electrified.
THE INTERIOR AS YOU WANT IT
Eight different interior layouts differentiate this new 17 mt, in which rooms with clean, timeless lines, typical of Danish designers, are both elegant and highly functional. The three-cabin and two- or three-bathroom version, with a sailor cabin, can be juxtaposed with an island galley or the more traditional “U-shaped” galley, while the owner can choose between a forward cabin with a center bed or a bulkhead bed. Three versions of the interior woods: Pacific, Baltic and Mediterranean all perfectly lit by the 18 standard opening portholes. The boat will soon be available for viewing at the Shipyard Show Room.
