At Milan Yachting Week – The digital Boat Show… sails adjust themselves. How is this possible? Thanks to AST, which stands for Assisted Sail Trim, designed and developed by Harken in collaboration with Jeanneau . We recommend that you enter the Harken pavilion now to understand how it works.
AST: after the pilot, even the tailer becomes automatic
It is a sailing aid system that automatically adjusts sails according to changes in the direction of the boat or wind, or in relation to the heeling of the boat. In short, after the pilot, here is also the automatic tailer.
Three forms, zero effort
Very easy to operate and manage via a convenient control unit on the helm, it is based on three modules: Auto Tacking, which makes the jib self-tacking; Auto Trim, by which the system will take care of sail adjustment; Sail Management, for automatic hoisting and lowering of sails.
No more toil, no more “banging.” When you want to relax and think only about leading your boat, AST is the right solution.
HERE find out in detail how it works.
