Welcome to the great festival of sailing, the TAG Heuer VELAFestival!
THE PERFECT GIFT!
Give or treat yourself to a subscription to the print + digital Journal of Sailing and for only 69 euros a year you get the magazine at home plus read it on your PC, smartphone and tablet. With a sea of advantages.
If sailing is close to your heart, as it is to ours, then pack your bags to move to Italy’s biggest sailing festival: the TAG Heuer VELAFestival, Thursday, May 2 to Sunday, May 5 in Santa Margherita Ligure. The Sailing Newspaper moves here to concentrate in four days everything that we tell you every day, on the web and social media, and every month in the beloved paper and digital magazine.
It will be the edition of records. Record number of major events will fill the theater on the dock where from the stage and on the big screen will parade the great sailors, famous sailors but also many personalities from the sailing world (such as those you see on the page to the left) who few people know, but who are the future of this world and the trends that fuel change in our sport. All live also on our social channels for those-hopefully few-who will not be able to be there.
This is a record edition because never before this year will there be a multitude of boats, accessories, nautical clothing…in short, everything sailors need. To see, to try, to choose. Top professionals are in the sailing citadel to explain and advise.
Record because the TAG Heuer Vela Cup sea party has reached numbers that no one can boast in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Record because for the first time, really, the whole event, thanks to Medplastic, will be under the banner of eco-awareness, from “plastic free” and concrete actions that you can also do to save the Mediterranean. We will tell you about them with exceptional testimonials and initiatives involving all sailors, even the youngest. Record also because no one would have bet a euro at the end of last October on the Santa Margherita ligure venue devastated by the “tsunami” and reborn today, precisely to host the TAG Heuer VELAFestival.
And again, record because the Sailor of the Year award ceremony on Friday, May 4, is the final act of a boom in online voting (more than 65,000!) and we advise you not to miss it, because you could win the Sailor of the Year award itself. To delve deeper into what we have hinted at here, all you have to do is turn the page. And you will find out why this is the edition of records that you better not miss. Whatever your desire for sailing.
