The new Vismara V56 Mills is a modern blue water with a focus on fuel economy issues in full accordance with the Vismara Hybrid philosophy. The Viareggio shipyard once again confirms its now faithful collaboration with Irish studio Mills Design to create a hull in carbon fiber and epoxy resin (the ultimate in lightweight composite materials) designed for an experienced owner.
CARBON CONSTRUCTION FOR A DISPLACEMENT OF ONLY 14 TONS
The hull is made of UT700 carbon sandwich and epoxy resin post-cured at 60° for 24 hours. Technologies that have made it possible to minimize the displacement of this 17-meter vessel to just 14,000 kg that comes with dual rudder blades and Oceanic Class A certification for the ultimate in safety at sea.
DOUBLE-COUPLE INTERIOR WITH OWNER’S STATEROOM IN THE BOW
The interior layout includes two cabins, each with its own bathroom and double beds in both. In the stern is a technical room for stowing sails and materials for long sailings. The master cabin is located in the bow: from this there is direct access to the crew cabin. The dinette layout includes the development of the convivial spaces in the aftmost part to make the most of the maximum beam, with the L-shaped galley in the forward part.
SAIL PLAN AT THE CUTTING EDGE OF TECHNOLOGY
Park Avenue mast and boom are made of carbon fiber, as, probably, will be the rigging. Vang and backstay are hydraulically controlled, and the winches are electric, all to ensure easy navigation with a small crew.
A MISSION: SAILING IN COMPLETE AUTONOMY
The rollbar above the wheelhouse area is the support for the high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, each connected with its own charge controller to ensure maximum stability for the gel batteries. In fact, the goal is to have a vessel that ensures autonomy of on-board consumption.
