It may be thanks to the winning Mark Mills/Alessandro Vismara pairing or perhaps to the successes achieved on the race courses by Roberto Lacorte’s SuperNikka: the fact is that Vismara Marine has cut another important milestone, launching at its Viareggio headquarters the third Vismara V62 Mills, Wizard, which follows the aforementioned SuperNikka and Yoru.
TO GO TO THE MAXIMUM
Built for an owner eager for maximum performance at sea concealed by an elegant suit, Wizard is constructed entirely of carbon, as well as mast and furling boom in the full tradition of the Italian shipyard. A boat born of Vismara Marine’s experience in building composite boats for which the design studio worked closely with Irish Mills Design to develop the water lines and appendages.
REFINED INTERIOR
The interior design study, on the other hand, is by architect Monica Leone, who was concerned that the boat would be able to accommodate an authentic luxury cruiser below deck. Three separate areas make up the interior layout: the twin guest cabins with their own bathrooms, a large dinette for relaxing, and the large kitchen. In the bow, the master bedroom offers generous space for its owner and provides access to the sailors’ area, which is housed forward. All interiors and furniture are made of bleached oak type wood, soft and sinuous lines characterize the whole interior design to remind of classic boats. Choice of materials and interior design were made to make the rooms comfortable, while the bathrooms are lacquered. Not the least of these is the choice of colors. The hull is graphite gray giving the boat a severe, assertive and very sporty tone. The color choice of all interior and exterior fabrics ranges over the hue range.

Double rudder wheel: when racing serves cruising
double rudder wheel is now almost a must-have for the majority of boats on the market but, in reality, it is a requirement that originated well back in time, for racing. Like so many arrangements developed for competition, however, it
