The vessel returns to port steaming escorted by the Coast Guard, all people on board are let off, and anyone is forbidden to board even to turn off the engines. It is moored and suddenly … an explosion below deck (from min. 00:34): AGM batteries did not hold up and deflagrated. Unfortunately, owners say, the boat’s interior was literally “fried,” resulting in tens of thousands of euros in damage.
