rescueThis man had “balls.” A French yachtsman stranded aboard his 30-footer (he had activated his EPIRB after losing his rudder and part of the rigging), at the mercy of nearly 50-knot winds and a fearsome sea (this is South Alaska: if you fall in the water, you’re dead), miraculously manages to jump aboard the ship that came to the rescue. But what is even more incredible is that he does it with his cat wrapped in oilskin! The scene was captured by cameras aboard the U.S. Coast Guard’s Hercules C-130 airplane sent on a reconnaissance mission.
