TheElan E6 represents the Slovenian shipyard’s return to the origins of its identity, namely that dedicated to sport cruising boats. With a hull by the “usual” Rob Humpreys, and a touch of Italian design by Pininfarina, Elan is re-emerging with a new model in the performance sector as well, with this boat dedicated to cruisers who always want to sail on vacation and maybe even do some racing now and then. We went to try it out to experience the newness of the house for ourselves.
ELAN E6 TEST
A boat dedicated to fast cruising, with a rigging layout designed by Olympic sailors and construction by GURIT, a leading composite machining company. The deckhouse, which looks almost like a flush deck, is one of the elements that undoubtedly characterize the exterior look.
Although it has a large maximum beam, it also sails well upwind in breezes, thanks to a small displacement and a hull that when the boat is heeled reduces its wetted surface area by not dipping its edges.
Inside, everything you need for comfortable cruising, with Pininfarina’s modern but tasteful design embellishing the style and two layout options with 3 cabins.
