THE BOAT IN BRIEF
The water lines are balanced, with large aft sections, low wetted surface and well-designed appendages (keel and rudder). High ballast ratio and a more stable hull shape allows the boat to support a good sail plan (featuring a fixed bowsprit, self-tacking jib and forward sloping boom) without sacrificing comfort and safety while cruising. Deck spaces are divided between work and relaxation areas. The deck walkways are wide and unobstructed to ensure maximum safety while sailing. There is an aft garage to house the 3.10-meter tender. The German-style mainsail sheet system and self-tacking jib allow smooth running even with a small crew. The interior design was achieved through collaboration between the Dufour design team, owners and dealers and is based on a large, functional dinette. The Dufour Exclusive 56 can be equipped with 3, 4 or 5 cabins plus a skipper’s cabin, reserving the owner maximum freedom to customize the boat to his or her specific needs.
