“I’vealways had three dreams,” confessed Franck Cammas, one of the greatest French sailors ever, “the first one I realized: it was to win the Volvo Ocean Race. The second, to participate in the America’s Cup, is in the making. The third is to round the world’s most famous Cape on a small flying catamaran.” The latter has just realized this. He made it round Cape Horn, aboard a Nacra 20 FCS (Flight Control System). A most dangerous challenge never attempted before. Preparations began on November 8. Joining him on board is German Yohannes Wiebel, an amateur sailor but one who passed the tough selection stages for the feat (do you remember? Julbo, for which Cammas is a testimonial, had launched a contest whose winner would have the honor of crewing for Franck). This video documents the feat: enjoy!
