A marina, the Cala dei Sardi, that is every sailor’s dream with all the latest facilities, beaches, English lawns and clear waters for swimming. But above all, it is a regatta prized above all for its special format: anyone can participate, all you need is a sailboat over 4 meters in length of any type, whether racing or cruising, there are no age limits for crews, the rankings are based on length, and whoever comes in first wins. Zero bureaucracy, just fun! And it is because of this spirit that there are already more than 40 entries for the TAG Heuer VELA Cup Cala dei Sardi.

A fleet of many different boats

Among them many different boats and crews, but with the same desire to relax, race together and have fun. There are cruising and racing boats, monohulls and catamarans, small cabin cruisers, dinghies and vintage boats. There is also no shortage of a few sailing stars such as ocean sailor Andrea Mura with his new catamaran “Vento di Sardegna Explorer,” Vincenzo Onorato aboard his favorite Swan 65 and Cagliari sailor Simone Camba at the helm of his Bavaria 44 “Anastasia.” At the TAG Heuer Vela Cup Cala dei Sardi – Costa Smeralda/Porto Rotondo there are also boat models that are at the antipodes.
